Komunitas Kreatif Ibu dan Anak (KKIA) Padang or Mother and Child Creative Community padang city conducts routine activities every week for children of community members who are at pre-school age. Activities carried out in the form of learning creativity for children and parenting education for parents
One of the sessions that I have documented is a reading story book for the children. This activity waa carried out in MLc Land, one of the playground and children's learning center which is located padang city. the event was assisted by professional teacher
There are many benefits of reading fairy tales for children, some of which are to train children's communication skills, listening ability, stimulate children's imagination and more.
While the benefits of this activity for parents is to introduce to the parents how to read a fair and interactive tale so that children are interested and enjoy the story line so that interaction between mother and child
Here look child coriusity in hearing the reader in telling story and also interact with teller
Some tips for becoming a good storyteller for children are:
- Choose interesting books with full of colors and pictures
- Make sure you know the story line
- Read stories with great expression
- Do interactions such as question and answer to see your child's response
