Why I Chose Photography as a Hobby

I retired from active duty in December of 2014. I left my wife of 13 years in March of 2016. I was homeless on Christmas Day 2016.

I spent four months living with my sister and it was during this time that I took a long look at my life. I had spent the last 20 plus years on the go. I never spent more than 4 years in one place. I spent a lot of time deployed and away from my family. It was then that I decided two things, the first was to spend every moment I can with my son and be the best Dad I can be be, and the second was to get back to something I have always enjoyed and that is photography.

While I was in Alabama living with my sister the only camera I had was on my phone. The only editing I did was with an app.

I was able to find a few shots that inspired me to take more.....

I have now decided it is time now that I have an actual camera to go out into my local area and start shooting more pictures. I hope that you will follow my adventure as I start to explore the Puget Sound and the beautiful Pacific northwest.
