Our area recently experienced an ice storm, and even though it was very beautiful, thousands of people were without power! A huge tree had fallen on a transformer near our neighborhood. We were very fortunate to have gas logs for heat, had filled our bathtubs for water, and had bottled water and foods that don't require cooking. It was very much like camping inside of our house! Fortunately, the electric company got everyone's power back on today.
