The Tsunami Museum in Banda Aceh is at the same time an icon of a tourist destination for the capital of the Aceh Province, which is a symbolic monument for the earthquake and tsunami in the Indian Ocean in 2004 as well as an object of education center and a place to anchor if a tsunami occurs again. I hope that this great disaster which has succeeded in ravaging parts of Acehnese society does not happen again. Amen Ya rabbal alamin.
Museum Tsunami di Banda Aceh sekaligus menjadi ikon destinasi wisata Ibukota Proivinsi Aceh merupakan monumen simbolis untuk bencana gempa bumi dan tsunami samudra hindia pada tahun 2004 sekaligus menjadi objek pusat pendidikan dan tempat untuk berlabuh jika tsunami kembali terjadi. Saya berharap bencana besar ini yang berhasil memporak-porandakan sebagian masyarakat Aceh jangan terjadi lagi. Amin Ya rabbal alamin.
As time went by and without being noticed it had been 16 years since the incident took place, the luxurious building which is located at Jl. Sultan Iskandar Muda, Sukaramai District. Baiturrahman is now crowded with people not only from Aceh but also from foreign countries to watch the documentary from the Tsunami.
Seiring berjalannya waktu dan tanpa terasa sudah 16 tahun lamanya kejadian itu berlangsung, gedung mewah yang beralamat di Jl. Sultan Iskandar Muda , Sukaramai Kecamatan. Baiturrahman kini ramai dikunjungi oleh masyarakat tidak hanya Aceh melainkan Mancanegara guna ingin menyaksikan dokumentari dari Tsunami tersebut.
Apart from that, I have also visited the museum several times in a series of tourist destinations and have seen additional objects every year.
