One of the 11 species of poultry is Teti, whose English name is Guinea fowl. Although ornamental bird, but for hundreds of years, Titi has been celebrated in different countries of the world for delicious meat and eggs. The bird originated in the African continent was seen in particular in Bangladesh mainly in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Chuadanga, Naogaon, Narsingdi, Bhairab, Kishoreganj, Gazipur and Tangail. The local people called this bird as Chinese chickens and kept with poultry in rural environments. Although presently the people of the country keep them, there is widespread possibility of conducting commercially in Bangladesh.
