This cactus is so cute and furry that I cannot have enough of it. Plus the pale pink flowers right now make its even more adorable! I did how it already twice... maybe three time. But hey, it is the first time with little drops.

I actually sprayed with some water. It is time to start watering the spiky babies after their winter rest, so they slowly wake up and start growing. The blooming ones could be watered a bit earlier, but I kept them dry just a tad bit longer. Just to be safe. Worst thing you can do to a cactus it to over water it. Better keep it dry if you are not sure. They will handle it better. Might shrink, but will not die.
See how delicate the flowers are? It open new flowers since about 2-3 weeks already and there is still a lot of buds to come! I think I will try to pollinate some. Mammillaria's fruits are very pretty too. I might get lucky and get some.
Fun Fact: Some mammillarias will not produce the seed pod/fruit the same year they bloom. They will hold it inside of the cactus body and only push it out the following year. Not sure if all do that. But apparently some do :)
