Hi steemians!
I took a photo trip to the beautiful island of Gotland. Gotland is located in the Baltic Sea and is Sweden's largest island. It is a popular holiday spot for both Swedes and foreigners. Gotland is often called the Pearl of the Baltic sea. The island measures 176 km in length and at its widest the island is 52 km. It is one of the sunniest places in Sweden and has very unusual nature characterised by sea stacks (vertical rock formations shaped by the sea), long beaches and the medieval town of Visby.
Visby is Gotland’s only town. The streets are full of roses which bloom in late autumn, sometimes even until early December. Visby is arguably the best-preserved medieval city in Scandinavia.
I had a great time on Gotland. Again a beautiful island with hundreds of things to photograph. People are very relaxed and friendly. The nature is absolutely stunning. Poppy flowers grow everywhere in the summer. A dream for all nature/travel photographers.
Have a great day!
Keep on creating!
