Collect Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae)

These yellow spike protected berries can be found hiding in wild across many places in Europe and also some places in Asia. Not many people know of how to use them.

Every year during Autumn I go and collect these amazing berries and at home we make jam out of them, usually it is made is quite simple way - we clean of berries, wash them, add some sugar, boiled water and leave them be, in winter you get part sour part sweet healthy jam.
Some people make oils and juice out of them.
Also good way is to collect after first colds, so as cold weather makes them more pleasant to eat.

The Latin name comes from hippo (horse), and phaos (shining) so as it was supposedly fed to horses so they have more shiny coat.

Be careful you may need to some way off road to find some of these berry bushes...

Hope you liked my pictures and some information I I knew and found out in internet.
