...I'm probably very late to the game here, but I just stumbled across the Mycroft Mark II Kickstarter (an alternative to the Google Home/Amazon Echo, and absolitely <3 the idea that a) it's open source b) it doesn't sell your data c) it's helping to build a community of people who want to use it with other devices. The underlying code also runs under #Linux #Ubuntu, so I thought I'd give it a spin! More info here =>
