I made some impulse buys after getting a new scanner and picked up a huge batch of slides a while back. These pictures span from as early as the late 1940s to as late as the early 1990s. These were from Goodwill and eBay. There are many thousands of these slides. I will be scanning some from time to time and posting them here mainly because I find them an interesting way to look back at the past.
I don't know a whole lot about the ultimate origins of this batch of slides other than they came from Goodwill. Like previous batches, these too often have a date stamped on them that I assume indicates when the film was developed and I believe in most cases should give approximate dating for the photograph itself. So far these seem like mostly vacation photos that were taken in the 1960s and 1970s. I've identified places in Italy, France, Mexico, and Hawaii so far.
The first three photos, like the photos in the previous several sets, were processed in August 1970 and appear to have been taken in Italy. I can't say for sure exactly where the first photo was taken but the photos I've been able to identify in Italy were taken in Florence or Pisa. Pisa is near the coast so I would guess this is somewhere near there.
I believe that the second photo is overlooking the city of Florence.
Based on the wording above the doorway, I believe the third photos is a shot of one of the Medici Chapels at the Basilica of San Lorenzo, in Florence, Italy.
The last photo was processed in July 1975. While I couldn't find an exact match for this one, Google Lens suggests this is a view of Honolulu from the top of Mount Tantalus. This would fit with other photos from the same time from this batch which were also taken in Hawaii.
