Vans Warped Tour was in Denver this past Sunday and I had the opportunity to be in the photography pit. One of the bands was Memphis May Fire, a band I have gotten to know pretty well over the past few years of taking photos.
After photographing a few sets my camera told me that my SD card was full. I was super bummed out that I might not be able to take more photos so i sat down and went through the photos. I deleted the blurry/cut off ones so i had space to take more. So much for having a 32GB SD card.
I eventually deleted enough to get back into the pit and take some more photos. I figured because my SD card was getting filled up I should just photograph the bands I know. The next band i knew was Memphis May Fire.
I really like this shot. Matty, the lead singer, likes to jump around and get really into the song he's singing. Sometimes he'll get down really close to the audience while singing like this. Matty will get very emotional during singing live. He likes his fans to know he really means the words he sings.
I'm glad you can feel the emotion in this photo.
