A Single Atom. Visible to the Naked Eye.

A single strontium atom, suspended by ionic fields and absorbing laser light has won the 2018 Engineering and Physical Sciences Photography award and I truly think it deserves it and is a reminder to us all that not everything is all as it seems in our funny old universe, that we are all made up of these small little "dots" quantum entangled to each other hurtling through space. Little bit of ramblings but needed to share to the community to remind them that the world is still and always will be; a big old place!
