Mini "PS Express" Review
It's free! So that's a good start, but how good is it, and can it add anything unique or useful to your phone camera's photos, or your workflow?
First impressions
I've been messing around with this app for a week or two now, using it to edit any iPhone photos that need editing.
It has an easy user interface to navigate, with a heap of free features to use - more than enough effects and adjustments to tweak your snaps.
As I said it is free, however there are more features that you need to sign up to access.
I've been happy with the free set of tools so far, plus I'm a tight arse, but the free toolset have a lot of scope for fine tuning and adjustments.
Adobe have been the leaders in digital image editing for decades for a reason - their shit is the shit when it comes to digital photo editing. Adobe Photoshop is the gold standard all other image editing applications are measured against, and while this phone app is awesome, it does have a few flaws.
One bug I've hit a couple of times is it hanging after cropping, editing colours or lighting, then trying to crop again, and it just craps out, with the spinning "waiting" wheel going round and round. Doesn't happen every time, and it is running on a phone, not a powerful desktop or laptop... and I'm sure they'll fix it, or I'll be using a newer more powerful phone soon enough.

The user interface is easy, just tap around and chose a look you like. You can also then go deeper and adjust things like whites, blacks, shadows, highlights, contrast, sharpening, and more.

Bottom line
If you're even slightly interested in enhancing your images, download it, try it out, at least the free parts, see if you like what it does. I can say it's easier to use, and has more to offer than the iPhones default image editing.
