I will try to share one of my ways, how that I do.

First of all - light schematic. You nead only one light source. It could be simple 60x60cm softbox. Of course, if you will shoot full body, you will need bigger. But about this next time. Now about small fragment of body. Place the lite a bit behind the model or from some side... just ensure fall of narrow light. And that's it ! Go and play with poses and light.

Your job result could not satisfy in first view........
Some body parts could be too bright. Not overexposed (take a look at histogram measures). Why ? - About this it is explained in another post. It would be better to low them down. Of cource it is up to your taste.

So I reduced the exposure, some adjustments to white and black tones. And for that kind of pictures I like stronger clarity. Local adjustments could be always useful ... but they are every time different.

Good luck !

Just some tips:

1. Exposition must be to the most highlighted places.

2. While shooting set Picture Control in a camera to Monochrome. This will help shadows to see better.

3. Shoot RAW
