Window Portraits

Last week I was enjoying a relaxing Sunday afternoon at my parent's house with some members of my family and decided to mess around with some portraits using natural light from the living room window. Natural light is definitely my preferred way to shoot pictures just because I'm not super comfortable with my artificial lighting skills (I'm working on it though).

I mostly tried to use the shadows from the edge of the window to make interesting lines on people's faces and also tried to get the sunlight to make one of their eyes to pop really well. The sunlight was a little too harsh for my liking, but could have been worse. I definitely like some of these better than others, but here are the results!
