I am a big fan of literature and the written word. From my childhood, I have a huge love for works of science and epic fiction. Ten years ago I read the first book in the Expanse series. Love was instantaneous and all these years I have been looking forward to new books in series and reading them with great enthusiasm

The Expanse series is the work of James S. A. Corey, a joint pen name of two authors: Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck. The story takes place in the near future when the solar system is colonized to a some extent. The story begins with the rise of political tension between the factions of Earth, Mars and the Asteroid Belt when an extraterrestrial intelligence is discovered in a very unusual way.

I don’t want to spoil anyone’s surprises that abound in these books. Characters, their interactions and personalities, events and consequences, political implications, and even science and respect for physical and biological laws are at an incredibly high level. There are very few such well-written books not only in science fiction but globally.

The writers have planned nine sequels in this series, and the last book in the series has been in my hands since yesterday. I don’t think I’m going to move out of my comfy armchair this weekend except to get a new cup of tea, because I’m burning with curiosity about how this Space Opera will end after a ten-year journey.
