Daily illustrated wisdom: When llamas are the only one that can walk free... because humans act like animals.

Have you been to Machu Picchu lately? If not, you should know that they are putting restriction after restriction, so that soon you will only be able to walk in one line without touching a thing.

That really sucks. We wanted to politely sit on the grass and been told to get up and move. It really kills the authenticity of the place... even if it is Machu Picchu.

Llamas are walking freely, however. They can eat the grass, jump on the ruins, and spit on any grave. The funny part is that they behave... better than humans.

Yup - if people knew how to behave, we would not have all the restrictions now. I totally get those managers of Machu Picchu, who had to put a stop sign near every single tangible object. You would be surprised how animalistic people behave in those sites.

We have been told that there were a lot of cases of coca-cola being poured at the old ruins of majestic civilizations. Other silly people used to carve their initials (as if somebody would give a shit) on the 5 thousand-year-old stones.

That is outrageous and that is why I am not angry with guards telling me where and when I should walk. That is the only way to save the heritage from the real animals I guess...

So, while llamas are freely walking and enjoying breath-taking views of Machu Picchu, people have to follow all the rules... because they simply don't know how to behave.

Where is the wisdom? In your politeness and good manners. As long as llamas know better how to behave than humans, I am pretty sad. So be that person who shows others an example.
