Our bodies are our albatrosses, our crosses to bear and ulitmately, our undoing. We all live in bodies that eat, sleep, have other functions and eventually die. This is inconvenient to say the least and horrible at worst. We are ruled by these God-awful things and someday, I hope, we will be free to exist as immortal and repairable mechanical entities.
The universe is 14 billion years old. The life of a human body is less than a twitch in cosmic time. We deserve better.
