The last time I was on the island fortress was some 10 years ago. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit again on occasion of a father-son camping organized by the school. Though the gun of Corregidor never sunk any ships during its time, its place in history is paramount to the sacrifices Filipinos made in regaining sovereignty over our islands.
It's summertime, strolling though the less traveled pathways of Corregidor may prove a fun and worthwhile activity for family and friends this summer.
