Today I want to introduce you to my princess Lima. He joined us about 1.5 years ago. She joined us as the 4th daughter of the house. He was only 2 months old when he came to us. He was thrown out on the street by his first owner and he was treated badly. Winter had come and it was almost impossible for him to live outside in Yalova-Turkey, the city we live in, where we live in very cold winters. We had no choice but to own it.
Even though he got along very well with his older sisters and aunts since the first day he came, I can't say that he gets along very well with Gofgof, the only cat in our house.. I'm sharing a photo I took when he first came.
This big girl, who has been in perfect harmony with the other 3 dogs in the house since the day she arrived, took her cooking and toilet training completely from her sisters and aunts, my wife and I hardly bothered to train Lima.
Lima soon won the love of the household as the youngest and most excited daughter of the house. She made a deal with her aunt named Latte, who is the only white dog in the house and we adopted again because she was abused on the street. (I'm sharing Latte's photo just below.)
Latte was the only dog who accepted the new member of our household quickly and became the first to support him and started playing, then the others got used to Lima over time. .
The only reason I am writing these lines to you today is that my dearly beloved daughter is very sick for the moment because I forgot to have a very important vaccination due to my negligence, and I share this with you, as in every platform, to both make a note in history and convey my guilt to you until the end.
Because of the vaccine I neglected, Lima caught the irreversible disease called "jungle disease", but I guess its scientific name is dysentery and causes bloody diarrhea. Unfortunately, veterinary services in Turkey are not very developed and the control of the animals you own is entirely in your hands, to a certain extent. There is no service such as vaccinations, passports or health monitoring. It is a very new practice to chip and register your animals in Turkey. Therefore, such important vaccinations can be skipped if you are a negligent father like me…
Anyway, I'm sharing with you a photo of Lima last taken together at the vet, and I'm asking you to pray for her recovery.

Bugün size prensesim Lima’yı tanıştırmak istiyorum. Kendisi aramıza yaklaşık bundan 1,5 yıl önce katıldı. Evin 4. Kızı olarak aramıza katıldı. Bize geldiğinde yalnızca 2 aylıktı. İlk sahibi tarafından sokağa atılmıştı ve kötü muamele görmüştü.Kış gelmişti kışları çok sert soğuk havası bulunan yaşadığımız şehir Yalova-Türkiye ‘de dışarıda yaşaması neredeyse imkansızdı. Onu da sahiplenmekten başka çare bulamamıştık.
Abla ve teyzeleriyle ilk geldiği günden bu yana çok iyi anlaşmış olsa da fakat evimizin tek kedisi olan Gofgof ile pek iyi anlaştığını söyleyememJ ilk geldiği zamanlarda çektiğim bir fotoğrafı paylaşıyorum.
Geldiği günden bu yana evde ki diğer 3 köpek ile mükemmel uyum yakalayan bu koca kız yemek yemeyi,tuvalet eğitimini tamamen abla ve teyzelerinden aldı, eşim ve ben Lima’nın eğitimi için neredeyse hiç uğraşmadık.
Lima kısa zamanda evin en küçüğü ve en heyecanlı kızı olarak ev halkının sevgisini kazanmıştı.En iyi evin tek beyaz köpeği olan ve yine sokakta tacize uğraması sebebiyle sahiplendiğimiz Latte isimli teyzesiyle anlaşmıştı.Latte tahminime göre Lima geldiğinde 5 yaşındaydı ve eski sahibi tarafından yavrularından ayrılarak sokağa atılmış, sokakta da insanlar tarafından tacize ve kötü muameleye uğramıştı.( Latte’nin fotoğrafını da hemen altta paylaşıyorum.) Latte ev halkımızın yeni üyesini çabucak kabullenip ona ilk destek olan ve oyun oynamaya başlayan tek köpek oldu,daha sonra zamanla diğerleri de Lima’ya alıştı.
Bugün size bu satırları yazmamın tek sebebi ise bu canımızdan sevdiğimiz kızımın tamamen benim ihmalkarlığım sebebiyle çok önemli bir aşısını yaptırmayı unutmuş olmam sebebiyle şu an için çok hasta olması ve benim bunu her platformda olduğu gibi sizlerle de paylaşarak hem tarihe bir not düşmek ve suçluluğumu sonuna kadar sizlere aktarmakL
Lima ihmal ettiğim aşısı yüzünden “ gençlik hastalığı” adı verilen fakat tahminimce bilimsel adı dizanteri olan ve kanlı ishale sebep olan o geri dönüşü zor hastalığa yakalandı.Türkiye’de ne yazık ki veterinerlik hizmetleri çok gelişmemiş durumda ve sahiplendiğiniz hayvanların kontrolleri tamamen sizlerin elinde,belirli bir aşı , pasaport veya sağlık takibi gibi bir hizmet yok.Türkiye’de sahibi olduğunuz hayvanlar için çip takılması ve kayıt altına alınması henüz çok yeni bir uygulama…Dolayısıyla bu tarz önemli aşılar benim gibi ihmalkar bir baba iseniz atlanabiliyorL
