Origins of Catalina
I adopted the nickname Catalina in 2016
but its origins actually go much further than that.
First year uni we had to write a screenplay.
So I wrote this Gothic fairytale inspired by Swan Lake that I later renamed The Swan Countess hoping one day I'd make it into a novel (after finishing the eight others I intend to write so it might be awhile if at all) and Downton Abbey season one was airing in Australia at that time about 11 years ago and I loved the character Sybil. The main character of my screenplay was influenced by her and the part of me that is independently minded, free-spirited, brave.
I called her Catalina.
