Firewood is used for cooking in the village where there is supply of woods. It is economical although it can be smoky at times. The village children learn to collect and chop the woods quite naturally.
However, urbanisation and modernisation have replaced using firewood with other forms of methods for cooking. Today, it becomes very common to use gas cooker or electrical stove for cooking.
Certainly, those living in the modern society do not need to revert back to using firewood. But it would be helpful for the modern people to be aware that the present living is a result of development. They also should respect those who are living in less developed places. Although they are deprived of modern way of cooking, they are equally human beings and our friends.

當然，生活在現代社會的人不需要恢復使用木柴。但是，現代人應該意識到如今的生活是發展的結果。他們也應該尊重那些生活在欠發達地區的人。雖然他們缺乏現代烹飪方式，但他們同樣是人類和我们的朋友。
