Golden Hour Photography: The Beauty of a Sunset

So I took my cousin out on her last day in Phuket, Thailand. She really loves the beaches here, so I brought her to the best sunset beach I know, Kata Beach. We didn't really have the time to chill and sit by the beach, because she was too busy looking for a work, but not until her last day in Phuket. It was kinda sentimental, because she risk everything and left her job back in the Philippines to come here for greener pastures. Sadly, she was not that fortunate and had to go home as her visa is expiring. I can really feel her sadness and disappointment that time. She was staring aimlessly and just sitting quietly next to me. The weather and ambience that time really matches her emotions. It was "too calm and peaceful". I felt like I brought her to the wrong place, until it was around 6:30 PM when this view emerged. Quickly, I saw the amazement on her face staring at the sunset.

It seems all her worries disappeared, like the sunset is giving her the strength to be okay and just move on. She was being herself again, well in fact, new and improved. She suddenly became poetic and words of wisdom were just overflowing out of her mouth, and even giving pieces of advice for myself. I never felt so relieved and had no regrets bringing her to this place. She asked me to take a couple of photos of her under the sunset, but I think this is the best shot I took. The beauty of the sunset reminds us each day, that another day has ended, and there is always hope if we can make it to sunrise.
