We are thrilled to share some amazing news! Yesterday, Thursday, June 27, 2024, OffChain Luxembourg achieved a historic milestone by exporting services for the first time using our very own currency, OCLT!
The story began when @yellowticruz, a non-member of OffChain Luxembourg, shared a LinkedIn post in our general WhatsApp group with the message : "For each repost, you’ll get one OCLT from me 😉." Our founder, @sorin.offchain , did Thibaut the favor by reposting his LinkedIn post—a task too insignificant to warrant a payment in euros.
However, in a gesture of appreciation, @yellowticruz bought OCLT to reward @sorin.offchain for republishing his article. This transaction marked the first instance of OffChain Luxembourg exporting services using OCLT, demonstrating the practical utility and value of our community currency.
