O.C.D. Sharing is Caring Initiative

Hello Everyone!

If you were not aware, in the past few weeks O.C.D has been curating Steem content that gets shared on Reddit, be it on the designated sticky post in our subreddit /r/steemit or out in the wild when it gets shared in subreddits related to the content steemians make.

We have seen success in this initiative in the form of increased activity on both our subreddit and of Steem content being shared on Reddit and with that in mind we would like to expand our Reddit-Steem activity to drive even more traffic from Reddit into Steem and hopefully convert redditors into Steemians and increase the traffic and ad revenue steemit is currently getting!

If you want to know how we curate Steemians that share their content on reddit right now, check out this post for a short set of instructions. We are going to keep curating steemians that share their posts in our sticky and those that share their own content on subreddits related to their created content. We encourage this a lot more than sharing it in our sticky if you believe your content can fit on a subreddit where it can be seen openly by a lot of people!

How will this new initiative work?

For starters, did you know that Steemit posts have a share button? Yes? No? Well they are right there below every post that gets shared here on Steemit and we want you to use them more often! And we will reward you for doing so, especially the Reddit one which is the one we can actually keep track of... but you should share Steem posts everywhere! Your posts and other people's posts as well!

How to Earn Rewards for Sharing Posts?

The presime is pretty simple, when you find Original content on Steem you really like, use the share button and share it on Reddit then come to our weekly thread, starting today on this post and share with us the link of the post you shared on Reddit right here in the comments section(The Steemit link to the post, not the reddit one). Both the original author of the post and the sharer will be rewarded. The Author will get a shot at being curated by OCD and you, the sharer will recieve a slice of this post rewards in liquid form after the payout happens!

Where to Share Steem posts on Reddit?

If you are not familiar with Reddit, it works like the new steem-engine tribes that are being created here around Steem except in a more centralized way in the form of subreddits, subreddits are communities dedicated to conversation and content sharing of a plethora of topics...

A lot of these subreddits get a lot of views daily and if used properly they can be levareged in favor of Steem by attracting new users and traffic to our platform and by just getting everyone to know that we still exists and that we are stronger than ever!

Here's a list of popular subreddits that are pretty popular and good picks to share content to but keep in mind that there are thousands of subreddits where you can share and help steem thrive as well, without further ado, here's the list:

List of Subreddits

Data

Last year when we started to revive the Steemit subreddit we had a total of 1.7% traffic coming from there into Steem.

And now that we have become acostumed to moderating and interacting over there to use that subreddit as an embassy of Steem to Reddit at large and especially since we started curating again 2 months ago in our sticky we have seen a nice increase of Reddit traffic to Steem.

As you can see our traffic coming from reddit now sits at 5.10% and we would like to see this number increase with the help of you guys. We believe that by doing this, everyone can win! Steem gets more exposure and you and your favorite authors will get rewarded as well!
