4th of July

Twelve days ago I went on an awful but great adventure. I decided that I wanted to go see the fire works near the east Hudson River in New York City. I thought I would be a nice cute little date to celebrate the 4th of July with my lovely partner.
We got off at 42 street and decided to walk to the east Hudson River from there. We walked so much! Well it felt like so much !!! As soon as we got there we started seeing the millions of people all crowded together trying to get as close as possible to the river. Mind you it was only 7 PM and the fire works start around 9:20 PM. On top of the millions of people there being crowded and the heat I was wearing the wrong shorts to walk in. These were ripped jean shorts and they would sting me every time I walked. They would rub against my thighs causing friction !! So annoying ! While we were waiting for the crowed to walk we decided to skip through the people to get in. There were security guard patting people down in case of bombs you know. Then slowly the crowed was getting closer to the river. Then like an hour later after waiting we finally got to get closer. We were under the high way by the water waiting for the fire works. I was so thirsty and hungry.. that's when I realized I didn't think it through!!! I didn't brink no drink and we were tired ! We've been standing and walking for the longest just to see a 30 minute fire work show ! Like really gisell.. is it really that worth it ughhh. Well when the fire works finally started it was so beautiful. It was so loud and colorful everyone around us were amazed! To be honest.. even I was lol. Other than the horrible rash I got between my thighs and the amounts of people there, it was beautiful and it was the first time I spent the 4th of July with my boyfriend !
