Now Playing Week 8 Entry: System of a Down - Toxicity

Hello friends and family!

Such a "perfect" day, such ideal mood for this song! I hope everybody is well. At least we had some amazing sunshine today!

As much as I love hip-hop, nothing beats rock when it comes to dealing with my anger.
So usually before I go entirely berserk I need to listen to some heavy drums, riffs and vocals to blow some steem off. Slipknot is one of my favourite bands when it comes to my rage, but since this song pictures my mood so well right now - why not share?

Pretty sure the song is almost 17 years old now and I bet I've listened to it a billion times.

I bought the album right away, much to the great displeasure of my parents. I remember once, I was about 13, sitting in the dentist waiting room, blasting the song on my disc-man. A couple of heads turned, I did not care. I was such a badass lol. I don't know what happened ever since. Damn, those were fun times!

System of a Down - Toxicity

Lyrics:

Conversion, software version 7.0,
Looking at life through the eyes of a tire hub,
Eating seeds as a pastime activity,
The toxicity of our city, of our city,

no, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder, disorder,
Now, somewhere between the sacred silence,
Sacred silence and sleep,
Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep,
Disorder, disorder, disorder.

More wood for their fires, loud neighbors,
Flashlight reveries caught in the headlights of a truck,
Eating seeds as a pastime activity,
The toxicity of our city, of our city,

no, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder, disorder,
Now, somewhere between the sacred silence,
Sacred silence and sleep,
Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep,
Disorder, disorder, disorder.

new, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder-er-er-er
Now, somewhere between the sacred silence,
Sacred silence and sleep,
Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep,
Disorder, disorder, disorder.

When I became the sun,
I shone life into the man's hearts,
When I became the sun,
I shone life into the man's hearts.
