Symantec have labeled the ransomware NotPetya as it is a derivative of the Petya virus, but is much more advanced. This attack uses the same EternalBlue NSA hack, but is more resilient than WannaCry and could do a lot more damage.
NOTPETYA AFFECTS ALL WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEMS, INCLUDING WINDOWS 10
NOTPETYA ENCRYPTS YOUR FILES WHEN YOU BOOT UP YOUR COMPUTER.
IF YOU SEE THE DISK REPAIR SCREEN ON BOOT, POWER DOWN YOUR COMPUTER IMMEDIATELY.
