Biosphere captures the essence of Nothern Norway

Biosphere aka. Geir Jenssen (born 30 May 1962) is one of the pioneers of ambient techno. His 1997 album Substrata was voted by the users of the Hyperreal website in 2001 as the best all-time classic ambient album.

In 1985 was part of the popular (in Norway) moody synth band Bel Canto.

In 1990 he released his first Solo album, "The North Pole by Submarine" under the name "Bleep."
Following the release of The North Pole by Submarine, Jenssen began releasing his music as Biosphere. His first release was the 12-inch single "The Fairy Tale" and the album "Microgravity" (1991)

In 1995 his track "Novelty waves" was used in a Levi Strauss commercial.

Also it seems like he's an anarchist :)
