It's been five days without kindergarten/school/work so a real mini-vacation, and we took the opportunity to visit our summer house. It takes about 3,5 hours to drive there, not that far, but with three kids in the car it can sometimes be challenging enough. Once we get there everything is worth it though, and this time we were also very lucky with the weather.
In the first photo the kids are looking for crabs.
The summer house was built in 1955 by my stepfathers father. It has a great location with a view over the fjord.
We love being there, and it makes a great change from living in the inland. Playing by the sea side is great.
My stepfather and husband preparing for summer by setting out the boat dockage.
There are many nice little beaches nearby, surrounded by rocks that are nicely shaped by the Ice Age.
The kids are finally getting old enough to run around on the rocks without me being too scared they fall and hurt themselves.
A little walk in the surroundings.
Experimenting with water and soap in the shade.
and just relaxing in the shade
Now back to reality. Work for another six weeks before we'll return to our little summer paradise.
Thanks for stopping by!
