The Middle Range - Digital single lens with Wide Range, Nikon D7500 Review + Images

I think that it is well finished.

Nikon released a digital SLR D7500 for an intermediate grade.

There was a time when DX format flagship machine had not been released since D300 until the D500 was released in April 2016, the D7000 series was a substantial DX format flagship machine was the position.

D7500 is the successor model of D7200. With the introduction of D 500, the D 7000 series will have returned to the original standing position of  intermediate machine of the DX series.

I was given the opportunity to use the D7500 as soon as possible, so I would like to deliver the review. Well then, please!

What is D7500?

It is Nikon's DX format digital single lens reflex. The number of effective pixels is 20.88 million pixels, commonly used ISO sensitivity from 100 to 51200, continuous shooting is about 8 frames/sec is possible, RAW high-speed continuous shooting of up to 50 frames is.

The image pickup device and the image processing engine EXPEED 5 are equivalent to D500 which is the higher model. In other words, the image quality is D500.

Besides that, it also supports movie shooting with 4K UHD 30p.

It is Nikon 's medium - class design. While followed the D7200 design of the previous model, "it has recently been widely adopted in the Nikon digital single-lens reflex monocoque structure adopted". We realized thin body and small size and light body. D7200 was about 765 g, while D7500 was about 720 g. It is considerably lighter.

Because the grip part is deep, holding feeling is also improved. Although it is a successor model of the D7200, as for the design aspect, it is done from almost zero base so the impression such as a new lineup.

As for usability, if you have used Nikon intermediate level machine so far, you will be able to use it immediately. Dials and button arrangements are familiar to Nikon users. Although it is not as high as the top model, you can call frequently used functions with one button.

Tilt type 3.2 type liquid crystal is a touch panel. AF and touch shutter are possible with screen touch when Live View shooting.

Of course, it is powerful for shooting at the low angle or high angle. It is also useful when shooting movies.

The thing that I liked when shooting was the quietness of the shutter sound. Although the mirror is sometimes called APS - C size, Feeling rather than whether the whole body is tightly sealed, it is quite quiet with the feeling (cotton). It is suitable for shooting in scenes that can not produce very large sounds.

Another thing I liked was a viewfinder. The viewfinder with a field of view ratio of 100% is very important for determining the composition. For medium-sized aircraft, the viewing ratio is often 97% or 98%, but still, 100% feel good. You can make attacked framing.

Regarding image quality, it is a feature of EXPEED 5 , it has vividness even in calm. Since "Auto" which automatically changes picture control is added to D7500, appropriate picture control is applied according to the subject.

It is not too flashy, but it is not simple. Because it is a picture making, it can be said that it can be used with confidence in various scenes.

Regarding high sensitivity, color balance is not so disturbed up to ISO 25600, so you can use it proactively. Noise will increase slightly, but it can be said that there is no problem if it is about the level to be posted on the Web.

In ISO 51200, the color balance is slightly disturbed, and the noise is conspicuous. However, when using it as a premise for

resizing or assuming development from RAW, it is a level that can be used sufficiently. It can be said that it is a strong model with considerably high sensitivity.

I like it !

I think the D7500 is a camera with high completeness. Of course not only the rigidity of the body but also the lightweight place, the goodness of holding coming from the depth of the grip, etc. can be realized by shooting.

Also favorite quiet shutter sound. In event shooting etc, shutter sound is anxious, but it is appreciated that it will be alleviated even a little.

The rest is quality. I like the image quality of the D500 very much, but I can not afford to get the equivalent image quality. Oh, I do not have a D500, I. So I am curious about this D 7500.

Although it is a plain part, the picture control "AUTO" was also convenient. It will select the appropriate picture control on the spot so it will greatly improve the convenience in JPEG shooting.

And I also recommend that you support SnapBridge. I understand once you use it, SnapBridge is quite handy. Since 2 million pixel thumbnails can be transferred to the smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth, there is a merit that it is easy to see the list of photos taken and easy to post to SNS.

A little regrettable place

It is a trade-off between compactness and weight saving, or somewhat cheap texture of the whole body. It may be because the magnesium alloy used for D7200 is not used. However, it is solid if you feel the rigidity, so it will not be a problem for a bit of heavy use.

Also, those who care about the fact that it is not compatible with the optional multi-power battery pack or that only one SD card slot is installed is also worrisome.

For me, in the 2 slot machine of D 750 and D 3 S, slot 1 is set to RAW and slot 2 is set to JPEG. I am doing it in an insurance sense, but if I have one slot I can not do it, I am a bit uneasy.

Comprehensively judging, it can be said to be a model with a considerably high level. As a step-up machine from the D3000 series and the D5000 series, it also works as a sub-model with high mobility to be combined with a full-size machine.

It is also recommended for those who purchase digital SLR for the first time. Although it is a personal opinion, using a proper model as a beginner increases the probability of taking good pictures without worrying about the details. To be able to take good pictures increases motivation for photos and as a result should make pictures fun. Even a beginner does not have to use an entry class.

Nikon has a long-selling intermediate machine called D90, but the D7500 has the same feeling that it will be a model that will be loved by the user for as long as the D90.

I have tried to purchase the D7200 several times, but I never felt that I felt that I had a breath, I did not purchase it. However, if it is D7500, I think that it can be used as a sub machine of D 3 S and D 750 currently used at the main, and as a main machine according to circumstances.

Well, I want it! It seems to be knocked down after purchasing.
