Chant!

We joyfully mourned of our woes
To merciless saviours who brought
As we kissed their large toes
the change we sought

The change we bought
Which brought
A change to chicken change
And stipends to manage

The more change we sought
The less we got
Lo, we lept before we looked, wept
And looked after we lept

Yet sitting apart, we stand together, spitting
Thoughts of splitting while hopelessly hoping
For impossible possibilities happening
From fry pan to fire, hopping

In a country
Where its heaven for the sinners
And hell for those who practise piety
Where losers are the winners

Where civil servants
Are serve-ants
Who serve and starve
Remaining stagnant

Medicine for the dead
Pardise for the wicked
Pictures for the blind
Hell for the kind

Yet lets can chant
That we're tired of being servants
We want a change
So let's chant with rage
