The countries of the world have canceled the death penalty

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said, 170 countries around the world have abolished the death penalty. He praised many countries for trying to stop the execution of the death penalty on the world anti-death sentence.

The United Nations says that at present their member countries are 193. Which means that at least 23 countries have executed the death penalty at least once in the last decade. On the other hand, international human rights organization Amnesty International says that in the last five years, at least 33 countries have executed the death penalty. 142 countries are no longer practicing death penalty

In countries that have been awarded death penalty in 2013-17,

Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Botswana, Chand, China, Egypt, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nigeria, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United States, Vietnam and Yemen (information could not be collected due to war in Libya and Syria).

In spite of having the law, the 21 countries,

Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Comoros, Cuba, Republic of the Congo, Dominica, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guyana, Jamaica, Lebanon, Lesotho, Qatar, Saint Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda Zimbabwe
