After the Hurricane Harvey flooding Houston Texas, here comes Hurricane Irma with a near record strength that will create havoc on its path.
Florida authorities have begun bracing for the potential arrival of Hurricane Irma, ordering evacuations as they prepare for a storm the National Hurricane Center called "potentially catastrophic."
Miami-Dade, the state's most populous county, could begin asking some of the 2.7 million residents there to begin evacuating as early as Wednesday due to the threat posed by Irma. Farther south, in Monroe County, home of the Florida Keys, officials issued a mandatory evacuation order for tourists and residents alike beginning on Wednesday.
