Bitcoin Declared A 'Transferable Vallue' In a Dutch Court

Good news for bitcoin fans. There was a case of a man who was owed .591 BTC from a private company. He sued after not getting his payment and the court agreed that bitcoin has value and thus the company would have to pay the man. They go on to compare bitcoin to a property right. Woot.

For those of you who are still new to crypto and can't understand why it could be considered a property right it is because bitcoin and other assets on a blockchain are unique and thus treated as tangible. There are only x amount of bitcoin or steem or items in a game. You cannot make more copies of it. When you put something on a blockchain it is limited and thus can be of value. I know it is odd idea for things that are digital, as you are used to making as many copies as you can in the digital world but blockchain tech makes them scarce.
