In First 2 Months in Office: Trump Reduced Debt by $100 Billion

On January 20th, the day of President Trump’s Inauguration, the US Debt stood at $19,947 billion. As of March 16th, the most recent date for US debt reporting, the US Debt stands at $19,846 billion. President Trump has cut the US Debt burden by over $100 billion and 0.5% in the first two months since his inauguration!

A 100 Billion is a good start. I'd like to see another 900 Billion cut before I start praising Trump on reducing the debt because we spend somewhere around 600 Billion more than the revenue we take in from taxes. The Federal Reserve is also raising rates which increases the amount of interest we pay on the debt. So either we reduce spending or default on our debt, both options are painful for the economy in the short term but need to be done if we are going to have any kind of bright future for the middle class.
