FCC blocking investigation into Net Neutrality Comment Fraud

Source

In an open letter from New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman challenges the FCC complete disregard for the misuse of millions of American's identities (many identities were for dead people) to fraudulently comment in favor of net neutrality. The FCC is already involved with a lawsuit in regards to these apparently fake comments.

"We all have a powerful reason to hold accountable those who would steal Americans’ identities and assault the public’s right to be heard in government rulemaking"

Eric Schneiderman

Reviewing the 22 Million comments to the FCC shows large support of Net Neutrality. Upon detailed review of the comments show a single individual or organization attempted to change the message by submitting millions of obviously fake comments against Net Neutrality.

The FCC has done everything in its power to prevent the investigation and analysis of the source of these comments over the last five months by preventing access to server logs, API key details, and IP addresses.

"while your letter suggests that the public comment process was somehow 'corrupted' by the alleged submission of comments under false names, you offer no evidence that this activity affected the Commission’s ability to review and respond to comments in the record."

“As in many important rulemakings, this proceeding carries the potential for advocates on either side to abuse the process to create an appearance of numerical advantage"

FCC General Counsel Thomas Johnson

This entire organization is filled with ex-executives from the same organizations we are trying to regulate. The recent death knell vote to finally kill Net Neutrality was passed by only five people. Three of which worked for companies like Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T. One has gone so far to make a joke about how they are a Verizon shill in a released video.

Although our future looks fucked, it is not too late to fight back. There are strong groups fighting back like the EFF - Electronic Frontier Foundation trying to reverse this downward spiral.

You can also use services like Battleforthenet to assist in contacting your congress representatives to tell them how you feel. This is not over and it isn't going away and complacency is the enemy of freedom.
