10 hours of standing, rain, no water, tears and singing, nothing could stop us yesterday.
The capital of Croatia greated their champions in the best possible way. 500 000 people waited on the streets to see the Croatian soccer team. Just to compare, Croatia has 4 million people while France has 66 million and only 1 million greated their soccer team in Paris.
Our boys won silver in Russia and came home after the whole world cheered for them in the finals. I made some very close up photos since I was in the press section, but the streets were packed. It was impossible to walk or even use the restroom or go to buy water. But it was worth every second. I was standing from noon to 10 PM, but this was better than any concert I have ever been on because of the emotions. France won the World Cup, but Croatia won the hearts of the entire world.
