Podesta -- "The Molesta" -- accuses Newt Gingrich of being "pretty disgusting" for saying murdered Democratic staffer Seth Rich was "assassinated" for giving emails to Wikileaks.
Hillary Clinton's former campaign chairman John Podesta whacked former House Speaker Newt Gingrich for claiming murdered Democratic staffer Seth Rich was 'assassinated' after giving emails to Wikileaks.
'It's pretty disgusting to see a former speaker of the House traffic in this at this point,' Podesta said Tuesday morning, speaking to the Washington Post's Karen Tumulty at the newspaper's D.C. headquarters. 'But I've come to expect that with Mr. Gingrich,' Podesta added.
Tumulty brought up Rich's unsolved murder – the Democratic National Committee staffer was gunned down in D.C. last July – as conspiracy theories are once again swirling, thanks in part to Gingrich's comments and Sean Hannity's insistence that something doesn't smell right.

What was so "disgusting" about what Newt said, anyway?
'We have this very strange story here of this young man who worked for the DNC who was apparently assassinated at four in the morning having given Wikileaks something like 23,000 – I’m sorry, 53,000 – emails and 17,000 attachments,' Gingrich said.
'Nobody’s investigating that, and what does that tell you about what was going on, because it turns out it wasn’t the Russians, it was this young guy who, I suspect, who was disgusted by the corruption of the Democratic National Committee,' the former House speaker continued.
'He’s been killed, and apparently nothing serious has been done to investigate his murder. So, I’d like to see how [former FBI director Robert] Mueller is going to define what his assignment is, and if it’s only narrowly Trump, the country will not learn what it needs to learn about foreign involvement in American politics,' Gingrich added.
