There is frequent thunderstorm in India in the heavy rainy season. Generally the rainy season starts from June until September.

Moreover, Kushan Shanku, a state-run emergency service center official, told the BBC that the electricity in the region, especially in Andhra Pradesh, was already pre-monsoon.

The thunderstorm recorded in the state on Tuesday is absolutely exceptional. Because, in the state's record of last year's thunderstorm, there were 30 thousand thunderbolts throughout the month of May.

Many scientists believe that due to global warming, thunderstorm will increase in the next few days.

Lightning occurs on the northern coast of Andhra Pradesh. Often heavy rainfall occurs in the area.

This year, the possibility of thunderstorms in the state increased due to the combination of cold winds of the Arabian Sea and the warm winds of northern India.

According to the National Crime Records Bureau, in India, at least 2,000 people have died in lightning every year since 2005.

In June 2016, in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, 93 people were killed and more than 20 people were injured in lightning.

The number of people killed in lightning in India is much higher than the developed countries like the United States. Only 27 people have died in the lightning every year in developed countries.
