How much is the speed of the Four-Zee

The government has fixed the minimum speed of the fourth generation (Four-G) telecommunications service to be launched in the country at 20 Mbps. Calling this date as unreal, mobile phone operators say it is not possible to offer 4Gbps (mega-bit per second) speed of 3G service to the present reality of Bangladesh.

Before the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) set the standards for four-G service standards, the minimum speed was fixed at 100 Mbps. After the advice of the Prime Minister's Information and Communication Technology Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the BSRC has decreased it after 20 MBPS.

Mobile phone operators have brought a number of issues to the forefront as the reason for not able to offer the full-speed of 20 Mbps speed. First of all there is lack of wave. According to them, currently four mobile phone operators of the country can use the speed of each wave, but it is not possible to give this speed 4G. Because of its own fiber optic network, it is difficult to give four-speed speed. Besides, due to the quality of mobile phones used in Bangladesh, this speed can not be given at the level of four-G subscribers.

Robi Axiata is currently the highest wave among mobile phone operators in Bangladesh. Robi's total wave volume in different bands is now 36.4 MHz. Grameenphone's 32 MHz, Teletalk's 25.2 MHz and Banglalink have 20 MHz Wave. According to them, they need a wave of at least 60 MHz for providing 20 Mbps minimum speed 4G services. But there are currently no scope to access the wave.

According to the UK-based technology company Open Signal, the average speed of the world's fourth-generation technology is 16.6 Mbps. In the neighboring country of India, the average average speed of four-zero is currently 13.3 Mbps. In countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand, the speed of the four-wheeler is 9 to 14 Mbps. Singapore and South Korea are the two countries in the world at the fastest pace. In Singapore, the average four-speed average is 46.64 Mbps, 45.85 Mbps in South Korea. As the organization, the speed of 40 Mbps beyond these two countries is found in Norway and Hungary. The average speed of 4Gbps in these two countries is 42 MBps. With an estimated 5,000 million data-data analyzes of 38 million smartphone users around the world, the open signal determines the speed of the country's four-G internet.

Asked about the mobile phone operator's Association Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (AMTOB) Secretary-General TI Nurul Kabir told Prothom Alo that the minimum speed that the government has set for the 4G technology is not realistic. The operators requested the government to change it.

Abu Syed Khan, Senior Research, Lern Asia, a telecommunication and information technology research organization, said that all the Internet packages that BTRC currently approves are based on the amount of internet data. BTRC can speed up the internet speed by speeding up all internet packages and then speed up the Internet. In view of all, it is impossible to ensure the speed of 20 mbps in Bangladesh.

According to government rules, currently the minimum speed of any broadband broadband internet in Bangladesh is 5 Mbps. The third-generation (3G) mobile internet is considered broadband Internet. However, BTRC does not have any specific information about the average speed of 3G technology in the country.
