Just when you thought it was safe to leave a legislature alone and unattended, they come up with something so insane you tilt your head slightly to the left and squint while reading.
The State of Connecticut is preparing to vote on a bill that would force all shelters and rescues to pay 5% of the adoption fee to the state as a tax. This is absurd and dangerous and one questions why it applies only to non profits and not to puppy mills or breeders.

Out of state people, you can call too. Tell them you won't visit and you will boycott products associated with the state.
This bill must be stopped or it will kill rescue in Connecticut. Please spread the word.
