Congress is currently trying to pass a bill written by AIPAC, that would criminalize supporting the BDS (Boycott Diverse Sanctions) movement with a minimal civil penalty of 250,000$ and a maximum criminal penalty of 1,000,000$ and 20 years in prison.
The legislation currently has partisan support from 234 House Representatives and 43 Senators. Despite the obvious fact, that it is a clear violation of the 1st amendment in the American Constitution!
