When nature strikes back!

Hello Steemian'Z!

I wanna share our experience yesterday. We were heading home when we feel that our vehicle is slowly moving. The traffic was getting heavy where in fact this place is not really used to be experiencing heavy traffic.

image

But this time, the vehicle's started to build up a traffic. So we ask a driver from another vehicle on what is happening. Is there an accident ahead or what? Then he said there is a heavy flood on the bridge. This bridge is hanging over a dead river. This river has no water at all for years that's why we usually call it a dead river. This river is too long that it connected to another barangay(community).

It rained last night and yesterday. Perhaps that cause for the water to build up ahead from this river connecting to it. It's so sad thinking that there were many villagers living just near this river.. Right beside this river exactly! Some are already in panic. Gladly there were already government officials in sight readied for any emergency actions.

And that was not all! As you can see at this point the village is already flooded. This area is just at the vicinity of the said river. The water is now inside their homes already. They were not ready for this. Who would be ready when nature strikes back.

Nowadays cutting of trees is one of the reasons why we suffer from this flood. If only these trees were there, they could aid in the absorption of this rainwater. But sadly these trees were cutoff for personal purposes. It may be their way of living and somehow for industrial purpose. It is time we pay back. This is the outcome of our own action. I just hope that with this incident no casualty may be recorded. That no one would be harmed. And that this flood will subside. And we all pray to God for the safety of all!

For nownwe need to start planting trees to replace the lost one!
