Wall Street tumbles: Several factors caused markets in the US to show significant losses yesterday. As a result, the Dow Jones, S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed significantly lower.

Financial data to impact markets today: Following yesterday’s difficult session, several reports could further contribute to volatility today. The ADP NFP report, which serves as an indicator for the official report to be released on Friday, will be published at 12:15 GMT, followed by the quarterly Prelim GDP report at 12:30 GMT.

Volatility expected for CAD: The Bank of Canada will be announcing its rate decision at 14:00 GMT, potentially impacting the Canadian Dollar.

SNB Chairman Jordan to speak today: Swiss National Bank Chairman Thomas Jordan is scheduled to deliver a speech at the WA de Vigier Foundation Award Ceremony at 14:45 GMT. Jordan’s words could potentially generate volatility for the CHF.
