It's somewhat alarming that progressives are openly calling for the end of the first amendment and free speech, we have known for a while that they wanted to repeal the first amendment but before they always had to be sneaky about it, they used to say they just wanted to get rid of Citizens United and that is of course code for getting rid of the first amendment but that was not so transparent for everyone. Now they openly say in the NYT that you cannot be a progressive and support free speech and most progressives happily tow the party line. God willing they can be kept out of power but God help us if they ever get any.
