#YEMEN - Don't look away, please don't

It ain't easy to look and know that our City slickers in their Armani suits and Gucci shoes are profiting from this but they are.
It ain't easy to look and know that the food we waste with our stupid system could feed every child in Yemen forever.
It is especially hard to look and know it is not just a photo it is a little life that clings to every breath in hopeless desperation.
Our heartless, profit hungry owners are keeping us barely able to survive because everything is far too expensive and this minor luxury of communication brings us images like this to torture us more.... reminding us of our inadequacies.
We have been robbed of our power to respond to this horror.
So, it remains hard to look on and imagine how that child's mum feels right now.
I have campaigned against war for 51 solid years. I have never accepted it nor have I ever condoned it for any reason but in the case of Yemen I am particularly disgusted.
They wanted freedom from their oppressive neighbour who robbed their oil underground by drilling horizontally and fracked their land into a poisoned hell hole. They rejected the neighbour's puppet and elected their choice but that was not acceptable to the predators in our glittering cityscapes, was it?
Nah..... they want their slice.... they want their fucking national security and they want a totalitarian corporate trashheap world that is unfit for habitation.
I salute the Houthis for their unremitting bravery in defying the distant despots.
I know you do too.
One day, maybe not in time to save this child, we will see an end to this unequal evil disregard for life and health.
Until I drop dead with exhaustion, I will work towards the permanent end of bombs, guns, sickness and poison.
And then I will come back to battle against the predators until every one of them dissolves in tears of grief for the magnitude of their crimes.
