Eric Branch was sentenced to the death penalty for the rape and murder of a college student, which happened back in 1993.

According to the publication, a 47-year-old man began to scream at the moment when he was injected with a lethal injection, which includes a powerful sedative. It is noted that Brunch struggled in convulsions on a medical gurney and three times cried out "killers" before the doctors recorded his death.

The State Penitentiary Department stated that there were no signs that the prisoner was shouting because of the drug he had injected.

In the past, prison authorities in a number of states have been criticized for the unsuccessful injections that caused the tortures of the executed.
