A major cryptocurrency adoption campaign supported by the Bitcoin Cash community, created country wide merchant adoption in Cyprus. Supposedly, close to 4000 merchants will start accepting Bitcoin Cash as a mean of exchange, by November 2018.

Two Major Spanish Public Institutions to Research Blockchain for Copyright Management
The Spanish Society of Authors and Publishers (SGAE) and the Madrid School of Telecommunications Engineering (ETSIT-UPM) announced on July 26 a research partnership to implement blockchain for copyright management in the digital era. The two institutions have reportedly signed a one-year agreement to carry out collaborative research into building a digital processing platform for copyright management that would use blockchain alongside with BigData, machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Early Bitcoin Investor Explains why People Should Invest in Cryptocurrencies
In a recent interview with Business Insider, Jeffrey Wernick, an early investor into Uber and Airbnb, described cryptocurrency investment as means through which ordinary citizens can accumulate capital. He stated that everybody should put something into crypto. He also criticized the current financial system, describing cryptocurrency investment as sole viable means through which “a typical middle-class person [can] accumulate wealth.”

Largest Cinema Chain in Thailand to Accept Crypto
Great news for cryptocurrency and movie lovers in Thailand as the largest movie theater chain, Major Cineplex, is integrating crypto payments to allow customers to pay for its services and products with cryptocurrency, including movie tickets and popcorn. In fact, Thailand has recently begun regulating crypto businesses and the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission has started accepting license applications from cryptocurrency operators.
