I don't know the numbers for France, it has no bearing on me or my life, but in the united states I google searched: Number of deaths from the flu in 2019 just a quick search not an in-depth analysis.
Results: So far, the CDC has estimated (based on weekly influenza surveillance data) that at least 12,000 people have died from influenza between Oct. 1, 2019 through Feb. 1, 2020, and the number of deaths may be as high as 30,000.Feb 11, 2020
But that is not a pandemic, that is no cause to ban public gatherings, that is just the regular flu, not the covid 19 flu. Will the covid 19 flu be more deadly than the MER's Scare, the SARS scare, or the old HIV scare? I know one time they are going to cry wolf and the wolf will really be at the door, but it is to late for me.
It is the same thing as Vaccine vs Anti-Vaxxer. If vaccines work and your child is vaccinated why would you care if my child is not vaccinated after all your kid is protected he received the vaccine shot he is protected. Of course that simple little fact will be ignored and over looked.
It's all about create the fear, create the need, take control over the people and their actions. Once the covid 19 scare/fear is done with, then it will be back to the heat wave killing people, the monsoon rains being to much or not enough, or a freak snow storm, or a volcano blowing up. Fear, it is what has always kept the power people in power.
